New Surry Theater Presents

Honk! Camp

New Surry Theatre's Performing Arts School's Summer 'Honk!' Camp

New Surry Theatre will again welcome young actors to our annual summer camp for ages 8 & up. The camp will take place July 18 through July 22 from 9:00PM to 3:00PM at the South Blue Hill Central Hall Theater. Campers will participate in acting, dancing, singing, stage combat, stage make-up, costume making and more! This year, the camp will be based on NST's summer musical, Honk! As always, campers are not required to perform in the musical, but we hope you will. Performance weekends are August 5,6,7 August 12, 13, 14 and August 19 and 20. The camp will once again be run by Shari John, with many special guest teachers.

Tuition is $325 per child. Family discounts are available. Early drop-off (8:00am) and late pick-up (4:00pm) are available for an additional $10 per day. For more information or to sign up, email info@newsurrytheatre.org.

Shari John has been involved in all aspects of theater since childhood. She started acting with New Surry Theatre in 2004 and started directing in earnest in 2008. Shari has run the NST Summer theater camp since it's inception in 2011 and came up with the unique idea of training campers to be able to join the full musical production that NST is putting on for the summer. She graduated in 1990 with a BS in Education and has taught in several different elementary school systems.
