New Surry Theatre Presents

Dance for the Stage

with Nina Robinson-Poole

Students will learn the skills to perform choreography needed for a Broadway musical. They will incorporate this knowledge into production numbers selected from Broadway musicals and perform them for the community in their last class. Students will gain an appreciation and understanding of how choreography is an important element to any musical production and how it enhances the non-verbal emotional connection to the audience.

This class begins Thursday, January 14th from 6:00 to 8:30 PM.
The cost is only $200.00.

Nina Robinson-Poole has studied classical ballet for ten years, six years under Andrei Bossov, a former ballet star at the Mariinsky Ballet (formerly the Kirov ballet). She studied modern dance choreography for two years at Keene State College in New Hampshire. For the past two summers she has worked as a choreographer for The Grand’s Summer Theatre Camp in Ellsworth. She has also worked at the New Surry Theatre choreographing their recent production of The Fantastiks.
